The training programs conducted by the institute have attained International status because of high standard of courses and excellence in teaching.

VSI has so far trained 138 technical personal from foreign countries during the regular training program. Apart from regular training courses, the need-based training programs have also been conducted for sugar industry personnel from Vietnam, Sudan, SriLanka, Uganda, Kenya, Nepal, Bhutan, Ethiopia.
