The training programs conducted by the institute have attained International recognition because of high standard of courses and excellence in teaching.

VSI has trained 144 technical personal from foreign countries during the regular training program. Apart from regular training courses, the need-based training programs have also been conducted for the sugar industry personnel from Vietnam, Sudan, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Kenya, Nepal, Bhutan and Ethiopia.
