The Agriculture Economics Section was established in 1987 and is currently engaged in compilation, analysis and trends finding from various types of data related to sugarcane agriculture especially cost of sugarcane cultivation, effect of different inputs and technologies on sugarcane and sugar yields, zonewise study of sugarcane and sugar production.
