Minimum starting salary is Rs.56,144/- per month i.e.
approximate Rs.6,73,500-6,74,000 per annum
To perform the essential functions of this position successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies in Academic, Extension and Research activities.
The candidate should have excellent knowledge related to various aspects of alcohol industry. He should be aware of the latest technologies of fermentation, distillation, and other value added by-products for sugar/alcohol industry and present norms of zero liquid discharge.
The candidate should have aptitude of conducting applied research and/or offering consultancy services particularly in the area of first, second and third generation ethanol, other value added products and downstream effluent treatment systems. He should be able to lead a team of researchers/technologists working in this area.
The candidate should have good track record of publishing/presenting minimum 20 scientific papers in reputed journals/conferences.
The candidate should also have knowledge of working of brewery and winery industry.
Knowledge of advanced equipments and analytical instruments used for research and for analysis of spirits, liquors and raw material analysis will be an advantage.
Knowledge of preparation of DPR, Tender documents, valuation reports, etc. is also desirable.
Knowledge of distillery plant design principles and costing will be an added advantage.
Candidate is also required to get involved in academic activities related to alcohol technology.
Candidate Profile and Qualification:
M. Tech. in Chemical Engineering/ M. Sc. in Bio-chemistry with Ph. D. in the area of alcohol production or M. Sc. in Bio-chemistry with DIFAT and with minimum 20-25 years of experience of distillery industry or research institute of repute.
20 to 25 years of experience of distillery plant operations at the highest post OR 20 to 25 years of research experience related to distillery industry.
