VSI membership is voluntary. Out of 187 installed sugar factories in the Maharashtra State, total 141 sugar factories are members of VSI. Majority of these sugar factories are in Co-operative Sector. These Co-operative Sugar Factories are backbone of Maharashtra Sugar Industry. VSI provides its member sugar factories a large number of routine as well as specialized analytical and testing extension services that are useful in the field and factory work.
